After departing from Istanbul, we cross from Eskihisar to Yalova by car ferry. Our first stop will be Teşvikiye Village, where we will have our village breakfast. After about 40 minutes for breakfast, we continue with a short drive to reach the starting point.
Once we complete our preparations, we start hiking towards the waterfalls. The trail is entirely on a footpath. The walk by the stream and under the trees takes about 30 minutes. At the end of the route, there are two waterfalls stacked atop each other. After taking a short photo break at the lower waterfall, we climb up to the upper waterfall. There are two ways to reach the upper waterfall: one is a path, and the other is a climb up a steep rock. While the rock is steep, the ascent is easy, but not recommended for those afraid of heights. After a sufficient break at the upper waterfall for photos, we return to the plateau.
Those who want to hike from Erikli Plateau to Teşvikiye Village can look forward to a pleasant two-hour walk in the forest along a footpath. There is only a slight incline at the start, then the rest of the walk descends. Near the end of the route, it is quite enjoyable to rest our feet in the stream we will cross. Afterwards, a 10-minute drive takes us to Teşvikiye Village where we will have our lunch. Those who wish can choose to continue walking all the way to the lunch spot.
After the lunch we have in Teşvikiye Village, we have our tea at the village café and around 17:30, we set off for Istanbul. Depending on the car ferry traffic, the vehicle arrives in Istanbul around 19:00 - 20:00.
