Norwegian Fjords and Preikestolen Tour

After breakfast, our hike begins to one of the world's most impressive rock formations, known as Preikestolen or Pulpit Rock. Located 604 meters above sea level, Preikestolen attracts over 300,000 nature enthusiasts each year. The hiking trail, which is a total of 5 kilometers, is quite easy to complete. After taking a break for photos and spending some time at Preikestolen, we start heading back. In the afternoon, we return to Stavanger and take a city tour. The old city center and Stavanger Cathedral are among the notable sights to see.

After breakfast, we begin our tour of Stavanger, which has the largest collection of wooden houses in northern Europe, housing around 8,000 wooden buildings. The main hub of these houses is Gamle Stavanger, located in the Vågen district. After exploring the historical city center of Gamle Stavanger, adorned with white wooden buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries, we visit the Stavanger Cathedral, one of Norway’s medieval cathedrals, and the tranquil Breiavatnet, a popular spot for peaceful walks. Afterwards, we set off by bus toward Bergen and settle into our hotel.

After breakfast, we begin our Bergen tour. Some of the key sites we will visit include Bryggen Old Town, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and Bergen Cathedral. First, we take the Floibanen funicular up to Floyen Hill, where we can view the city from above. From Floyen Hill, we walk down, passing through historic Bergen houses and arriving at the city center. Guests who wish may spend the rest of their time visiting the Hanseatic Museum. At the end of the day, Torget Fish Market will be our choice for dinner. After your meal, you can enjoy a brief evening stroll in the city center.

At 08:00, we set off on a ship journey through Sognefjorden, Norway’s largest and the world’s longest open fjord, taking us to Flam village at the heart of the fjord. After spending some time in Flam, we transfer to Myrdal aboard the enchanting Flam Railway, celebrated as one of the world’s greatest train journeys. Once the Flam Railway adventure is complete, we continue by train to Oslo and settle into our hotel. After a brief rest at the hotel, we head out again for dinner. Following the meal, we enjoy a short walk around the Akerselva River and through the Grünerlokka District. We capture photos of the famous graffiti here before returning to our hotel.

After an early breakfast, we first visit Vigeland Park. Next, we continue with information about the Royal Palace of Norway, followed by Akershus Fortress, Oslo City Hall, the National Theatre, Oslo University Building, Karl Johans Street, and Thorvald Meyers Street, which make up the rest of the tour. Depending on the remaining time, we then head to the Bygdoy Peninsula to visit its museums. Among the notable sites on the museum island are the Viking Museum, which houses the best-preserved Viking ships, and the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History. After completing our tour, we collect our belongings from the hotel and set off for Oslo Airport. See you on another BUKLATUR trip.
