Premium Cappadocia Tour

After breakfast, we embark on a journey of about 45 minutes to our first stop: the region’s most visited underground city, Derinkuyu Underground City. After touring the seven-level underground site, we continue to the Narlıgöl Crater Lake. Next on our itinerary is Ihlara Valley, one of Cappadocia’s most important retreats, known for its fascinating natural formations and rock-carved churches. After approximately 1.5 hours of exploring and walking through the valley, we arrive at Yılanlı Church.

After the Ihlara Valley tour, the group will decide (by majority vote) whether to visit Salt Lake or to embark on the Gaziemir Underground City and Kızılçukur-Çavuşin walk.

Option 1 (Salt Lake)

We set out for Salt Lake, Turkey's second largest lake. Here, we'll enjoy a brief tour and a photo break before heading back to our hotel. The journey from Ihlara Valley to Salt Lake to Cappadocia will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

Option 2 (Gaziemir Underground City, Kızılçukur - Çavuşin Walk)

We head to Gaziemir Underground City. Unlike others, it's not entirely enclosed and some sections are open to the surface. Its high ceilings even allow camels to pass, so it's not very claustrophobic. Afterwards, we’ll arrive at the nearby village of Güzelyurt.

This village will turn our adventure partly into a gourmet tour—its houses inherited from the Greeks, Anatolian Seljuk period monuments, underground caves, and our delicious lunch will add special flavor to the trip. Gelveri pan and kapak börek will delight your palate. Vegan and vegetarian travelers are also well catered for :)

After leaving Gaziemir, we return to Cappadocia with a one-hour drive. To catch the sunset and wrap up the day’s walk, we visit the Kızılçukur scenic viewpoint. If you join a Bukla tour, there’s always a walk to look forward to! So, let’s hike among the valley’s colors all the way to Çavuşin. Although the walk itself takes around 1.5 hours, it's impossible not to stop for photos along this path. Sometimes, hot air balloons also lift off from here for their evening flights. If you’re lucky, you'll witness this magical sight—even on the road, you might end your day with an unforgettable sunset. We are sure you’ll love every moment!

After breakfast, we leave the hotel and start the day with a tour of Sinasos, where we can particularly see striking examples of Greek architecture. In Sinasos, which also hosts Asmalı Konak, we receive a detailed briefing about Greek architecture and, after our walk, take a photo break in the Dervent Valley, known for its fascinating fairy chimney formations.

Our next stop is Zelve Valley, one of the region's top sightseeing destinations. After exploring the valley, we visit Paşabağ, also known as the Monks’ Valley, and then head to Uçhisar for lunch. Following lunch, we visit a local onyx stone workshop in Uçhisar and have the opportunity to shop. We then continue our journey towards Hacıbektaş. Along the way, we have the chance to see the unique mushroom-shaped fairy chimney formations found only in Gülşehir. In Hacıbektaş, we learn about the Bektashi culture and tour the lodge. Afterwards, we stop by the Sarıhan Caravanserai, one of the most important Seljuk monuments in the Cappadocia region, and tour the caravanserai. After completing the visit, we proceed to Kayseri Airport. We return to Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK2023 and bid farewell, hoping to see you on another BUKLA TOUR adventure.
