Day 2 - Mtskheta, UNESCO World Heritage Sites

After breakfast, we head to Mtskheta, one of the oldest cities in Georgia, located at the junction of the Kura and Aragvi rivers, which served as the capital of the Kingdom of Kartli between the 3rd century BC and the 5th century AD. Upon arrival in Mtskheta, we begin touring the region's UNESCO World Heritage sites.

UNESCO World Heritage Sites

We start the Mtskheta tour by visiting Jvari Monastery, where we will make an impressive entrance to the day, observing the magnificent scenery surrounding the area. Next, we go to discover the famous Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, renowned for its historical texture. This cathedral is one of the most significant parts of Georgia's religious and cultural heritage. Its historical and architectural details will greatly impress you. After leaving the cathedral, we head to one of Mtskheta’s traditional Georgian restaurants for lunch.

After the meal, we end the day by strolling in the peaceful atmosphere of Samtavro Monastery.

Before returning to Tbilisi, you can find and shop for local handmade souvenirs in the streets of Mtskheta. After arriving in Tbilisi and relaxing for a short while at our hotel, we will complete the day by going to a restaurant to experience the flavors of Georgian cuisine for dinner.

Day 3 - Gori, Kutaisi, Batumi

With the sunrise, we begin a fascinating journey from Tbilisi, where history and nature intertwine.

Gori & Stalin Museum & Uplistsikhe Caves

Our first stop is Gori, the heart of Georgia and the lifeblood of its culture. Here, we will visit the Stalin Museum, where we witness the life of the historical figure Josef Stalin. The museum is filled with exhibits displaying Stalin's personal belongings and significant moments from history.

Our journey then takes us to the Uplistsikhe Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage site that sheds light on human history. Here, we will wander among rock-carved structures that bear the traces of ancient civilizations and feel the mysteries of the past. This ancient city captivates visitors not only with its grandeur but also with its historical significance.

Kutaisi & UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Our next stop is Kutaisi, renowned for its rich history and natural beauty. Here, we will visit the magnificent Bagrati and Gelati Cathedrals, both included on the UNESCO World Heritage list. These breath-taking cathedrals reflect their importance in Georgia's religious and architectural history.

As the sun sets, we arrive in Batumi, the pearl of the Black Sea. This city is famous for its blend of modern and historical touches, vibrant streets, colorful nightlife, and stunning coastline. By staying in Batumi, we will conclude this long and adventure-filled day. As we gather our energy for tomorrow's adventures, we'll enjoy the unique scenery Batumi has to offer.

Day 4 - Batumi City Tour, Makhuntseti Waterfall, Tamara Bridge, Fırtına Valley

Batumi Botanical Park & Batumi City Tour

We start the day with a rich breakfast at our hotel in the heart of Batumi. After gathering our energy, we set off to explore this Black Sea gem. Our Batumi city tour will follow a route that includes historical buildings, modern architecture, and natural beauties. We will visit the colorful Botanical Garden, the magnificent Batumi Boulevard, and the historic Piazza Square. Every corner of this city tells a different story, offering us both stunning views and cultural richness.

Makhuntseti Waterfall & Tamara Bridge

For lunch, we take a break at a restaurant where we will savor local flavors. Accompanied by the unique tastes of Georgian cuisine, we prepare for our next adventure. After the meal, we leave Batumi and head towards one of nature's magnificent works, the Makhuntseti Waterfall. The striking beauty of the waterfall and the surrounding natural wonders promise unforgettable moments for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Our journey continues with a stop at Tamara Bridge, where history and nature are intertwined. This ancient bridge will captivate us with its story-filled past and impressive architecture. Afterwards, we cross the Sarp Border Gate between Turkey and Georgia.

Çamlıhemşin

After crossing the border, we head to the Nordic Hotel located in Mollaveyis Village in Çamlıhemşin. Our hotel is a paradise where peace and comfort meet in the embrace of nature. With our arrival, we end this long and adventure-filled day. The hotel's warm atmosphere and impressive surroundings will make us forget our fatigue. We will spend the night immersed in the unique nature of the Fırtına Valley, preparing for tomorrow's adventures.

Day 5 - Gito Plateau, Ambarlı Plateau, Ambarlı Lakes

After our breakfast in the morning, we set off towards Gito Plateau.

Gito Plateau

Gito is a plateau at an altitude of 2,050 meters, with around 30 houses, well preserved in its original state, offering one of the most beautiful views in the region. From above, you can see the Fırtına Valley, Pokut and Sal Plateaus to the left, Kaçkar Mountain in front, and Çat Village and Kale Plateau to the right. If you climb a bit higher to the ridge, you get a 360-degree panoramic view. On clear days, even the sea is visible. It’s an ideal spot especially for photographers. After Gito Plateau, we head towards Ambarlı Plateau.

Ambarlı Plateau & Ambarlı Lakes

On the way, accompanied by views of Fırtına Valley, Çat, Elevit, and Pokut, we stop for a photography break. After a 1-hour journey, we arrive at Ambarlı Plateau at an altitude of 2,400 meters. This is still one of the untouched plateaus where plateau life continues. The hiking trail is not very difficult, considered intermediate level. Except for a few spots, there are no steep climbs. We ascend slowly, taking breaks and photos along the way.

During the hike, we first see the Üç Göller (Three Lakes): Taraklı, Sandıklı, and Kuzu Lakes. Here, the altitude is around 2,800 meters. Then, after about a 40-minute walk, we reach Balıklı Lake. Balıklı Lake is at 3,000 meters, and yes, there are truly fish living in it. We’ll have lunch here or at Mohorcok Lake, which we’ll visit on the way back. Those with swimsuits and towels can swim in the lake—don’t miss the chance! We’ll return via the same trail and then get into our vehicle waiting at Ambarlı Plateau to head back to the hotel.

Day 6 - Bulut Waterfall, Avusor Plateau, Büyük Lake, Huser Plateau Sunset

After breakfast, an action-packed day surrounded by nature awaits us. Today, our itinerary includes refreshing ourselves at Bulut Waterfall and the opportunity to swim in Büyük Lake (2800m). Don't forget to bring your swimsuits and towels for this reason.

Tar Stream & Bulut Waterfall & Ayder Plateau

We start our day with a half-hour drive from our hotel and head toward the Tar Stream trail. After a hike of about 45 minutes, we reach Bulut Waterfall, where we'll have the chance to swim in its cool waters. After the swimming break, we'll head back along the same road toward Ayder Plateau. At Ayder, we'll take a short break and have the opportunity to photograph the beauty of Gelintülü Waterfall.

Avusor Plateau & Laz Plateaus & Büyük Lake

Following our visit to Ayder Plateau, we'll explore the plateaus known as Laz Plateaus, established and maintained by the Laz people. We'll also take a hike to Büyük Lake atop Avusor Plateau. We’ll reach Avusor Plateau by vehicle and, during our journey, enjoy views of Hacizeni, Kvaokobğumeri (no typo here—this means "Stone Piled" in Laz language!), and Toba Plateaus.

Once we reach Avusor Plateau, we'll begin a 1.5-hour hike to Büyük Lake at an altitude of 2800 meters. After a swimming break at the lake, we'll return the same way and have a local lunch at Avusor. For those who don't wish to join the Büyük Lake hike, there's an opportunity to relax and spend time on the plateau.

Huser Plateau & Sunset

After lunch, we'll head to Huser Plateau for sunset. This plateau, situated at 2320 meters, is renowned for its 360-degree views that even include the sea. The swing above the clouds, popular on social media, is located here. We can take a short walk around the plateau, snap photos on the swing, and wait for sunset. If we are lucky, we'll witness a cloud sea view—one of the most impressive sights you may ever see.

After sunset, we return to our hotel, bringing this full day to a close. Our dinner will be a bit late, so enjoy your day and save some energy for the evening.

Day 7 - Pokut & Sal Plateaus, Return

On the final day of our tour, we will visit two plateaus of unique beauty. In vehicles suited to the weather and road conditions, we set off towards Pokut and Sal Plateaus, both situated at an altitude of 2,000 meters. Renowned for their natural scenery, these two plateaus often feature on social media. With their wooden houses and surrounding wild forests, these highlands are famous for their pristine nature and breathtaking views.

Sal Plateau

After approximately an hour's journey, we arrive at our first stop, Sal Plateau. The expansive meadows here and the row of plateau houses behind them enchant all who visit. Enjoying Sal's landscapes and breathing its fresh air provide a truly unforgettable experience. After thoroughly experiencing Sal Plateau, we take a short forest walk between the two plateaus. This walk will last about half an hour and add yet another beautiful touch to our day.

Pokut Plateau

After the walk, we reach Pokut Plateau. Pokut welcomes us with its stunning scenery. We hope to witness the awe-inspiring views of the Black Sea and Kaçkar Mountains, and if we’re lucky, cloud seas and mountain islets with mesmerizing beauty. During our break at Pokut Plateau, we will offer you special surprise treats. After exploring the plateau, we’ll walk through its houses into the forest, heading towards Eynetap. Here, we will take a short break in a meadow and enjoy the beauty of nature.

After the break, we return to our hotel. You can spend your free time at the hotel resting or exploring the surroundings. At the end of the day, around 18:00, we depart for Rize Airport. Upon arrival, we’ll say goodbye, until we meet again on another Bukla Tour adventure. Today will remain in our memories as a day on which we discovered nature’s most beautiful colors and tranquility, gathering unforgettable moments.
