Greenland & Disko Bay Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, we head to the Reykjavik Airport. We fly directly to Ilulissat with Air Iceland. Now we have arrived in Greenland. First, we settle into our hotel. Then, we will explore this charming town located at the entrance of the 56km-long Icefjord, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2004. We learn about the rich cultural history of this town, situated 250 km north of the Arctic Circle. Later in the day, we will have the opportunity to explore under the midnight sun.

After breakfast at our hotel, our guests may choose to join our guide’s optional boat tour or airplane tour.

During the three-hour boat tour, we will see Disko Bay, Eqi Glacier, and the village of Ilimanaq. Along the way, we may spot whales or observe icebergs that have broken off from massive glaciers.

During the 1.5-hour airplane tour, we will fly over Greenland's most popular sites.
The flight departs from Ilulissat Airport. Before takeoff, the pilot gives a briefing and hands out a headset for communication. The pilot seats all participants in the plane. You can choose to sit at the front with the pilot or at the back with other travelers. Regardless of where you sit, spectacular views are guaranteed through the large windows.

Shortly after takeoff, you will get to see Greenland from one of its best angles as you fly toward the magnificent Eqi Glacier. The edge of Eqi Glacier is an ice wall four kilometers wide.
From here, we fly to the Greenland Icecap, which covers most of the country’s surface. Imagine seeing the astonishing ice formations stretching all the way to the horizon. Next, we continue to the tundra region, where the colors shift from white to every shade of green and brown. Here, you may have a chance to see reindeer.

Our tour is not over yet! :) After leaving the tundra, we head to Ilulissat and the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ilulissat Icefjord, to Isua Glacier, and to Kangia Glacier, where you can see the traces left by the advancing ice on the rocks.

As you fly over the Icefjord, you’ll see countless icebergs of every conceivable shape and size. Some of these icebergs, drifting silently in the sea, are as large as islands.

While flying in the region, you may also spot a whale or other Arctic wildlife. Seeing all this from above is an experience you’ll never forget and one not to be missed while traveling in Greenland.

After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our walk towards the Sermermuit Valley. This walk will offer you a hiking experience unlike anything you’ve had before. On our way to the valley, we’ll see towering icebergs and the remnants of abandoned houses. Upon reaching the valley, depending on the group’s performance, we’ll set our route towards the Kangia Fjord, which is under UNESCO protection. 10% of the ice calving in Greenland occurs in this fjord. It is even believed that the iceberg that sank the Titanic originated from this fjord. After completing the walk through Kangia Fjord, we return to our hotel by the same route.

After breakfast, we complete our check-out procedures at the hotel and head out for souvenir shopping. After shopping, we go to Ilulissat Airport. We travel to Reykjavik via Kangerlussuaq on our flight departing at 12:15. We arrive in Reykjavik at 18:25 local time. After settling into our hotel and resting for a bit, we proceed to dinner.

Around 04:30 at night, we head towards Keflavik Airport and bid farewell, hoping to see you again on another tour.

Kahvaltının ardından Kopenhag’da şehir turumuzun ikinci etabına başlıyoruz. Kopenhag’ın güneyinde, Øresund kıyısındaki Dragør; dar sokakları, renkli evleri ve tarihi liman dokusuyla kısa ama çok “fotoğraflık” bir kapanış durağıdır. Dragør gezimizin ardından Kopenhag Havalimanı’na geçiyoruz.
Türk Hava Yolları’nın 18:05 kalkışlı TK1786 nolu uçuşuyla İstanbul’a dönüyor ve bir başka BUKLATUR gezisinde buluşmak üzere vedalaşıyoruz.
