Premium Eastern Black Sea Tour (4 Nights 5 Days)

After breakfast, we begin our tour. Today we will visit three beautiful highlands. First, we will go to Pokut and Sal Highlands.  

Sal Highland & Pokut Highland & Eynetap  

Depending on weather and road conditions, we will depart with a suitable vehicle to Pokut and Sal Highlands, which have been featured many times in newspapers and magazines, are indispensable spots for Instagram posts, and are two stunningly beautiful highlands situated at 2000 meters altitude. All the houses built on these hilltop highlands are made entirely of wood. Surrounded by a wild forest and retaining its pristine nature, the view is breathtaking.  After approximately a one-hour journey from the hotel, we reach our first stop, Sal Highland. The wide meadow in front of the highland and the rows of highland houses behind offer a unique beauty. Sitting on the bench above Sal, gazing around and breathing in the fresh air is an experience that must be felt to be described. After our time at Sal Highland, we proceed to Pokut Highland. The half-hour flat forest walk we will take between the two highlands will add a special charm to the day. After this short walk, we enjoy the scenery of Pokut Highland. On one side the sea, on the other the Kaçkar Mountains, and if we're lucky, a sea of clouds and mountain islets poking through the clouds. Surrounded by untouched natural old forest, you will never tire of Pokut. During our break with the view at Pokut, we will have surprise treats for you. After touring and enjoying the highland, we enter the forest through the highland houses and reach Eynetap. Here, we spread out on the meadow and take a short break. After the break, we start walking towards Hazindak Highland.   

Hazindak Highland & Palovit Waterfall

Hazindak is a small, charming, and well-preserved highland built on a hill where the paths of four highlands intersect. After approximately a two-hour walk from Eynetap, we arrive at the highland. We have lunch here and spend some time among the highland houses before turning towards Palovit Waterfall.  The waterfall, which is 15 meters high, is not the tallest in the region, but it has the highest flow rate. Those who wish may walk down from the road and take photos at the base of the waterfall. After leaving the waterfall, we return to our hotel.

After our breakfast in the morning, we set off towards Kale Plateau.

Kale Plateau, Kale-i Bala

The plateau is small, located in a beautiful valley, but its main feature is that the sister of Zil Castle (Kale-i Zir - Lower Castle) is here. Its name is Kale-i Bala, which means upper castle. Like Zil Castle, it has not survived intact to the present day, but you may want to climb up the castle and look at the 360-degree view. Leaving behind this castle and view that few people have seen, we move on to Çiçekli Plateau.

Çiçekli Plateau

After arriving at the plateau and resting a bit while enjoying the view, we proceed with our walk accompanied by unique scenery until the place where we will reunite with our vehicle. Then, we meet our vehicle and descend to the valley floor to have lunch.

Mollaveyis Village - Çinçiva Village Walk, Historic Mansions

In the second stage of the day, we will walk from Mollaveyis Village to Çinçiva Village (Şenyuva). The entire route is within the forest. We will be surrounded by chestnut, linden, and spruce trees. After a 45-minute walk, we reach the Zizna Region and visit the historic mansions.

Afterwards, we leave Zizna and continue our walk. We finish the first stage of the day by walking along the forest trails for about 1 hour and 15 minutes until we reach Çinçiva Bridge, and after taking a group souvenir photo at the historic Çinçiva Bridge, we return to our hotel.

Verçenik Plateau

After our breakfast, we set off towards the foothills of Verçenik Mountain, the region's second highest peak at 3711 meters. After this, we take a short sightseeing tour around the area and follow the rivers and streams that form the Fırtına Valley back to their source. The end of the road leads to Verçenik Plateau. After a brief tour around the plateau, we return. 

Elevit Plateau & Çat Bridge

After leaving Verçenik Plateau, we descend down the valley and reunite with our vehicle, then head down to Elevit Plateau, located at 1800 meters altitude. Once one of the most visited plateaus and the site of the most vibrant Vartivor festival, the "population unknown" Elevit Plateau currently longs for its lively past days. Following walks and photo stops within the plateau, we proceed to Çat Village. Of course, we do not forget to take a photo break at Çat Bridge along the way. :) After leaving Çat, we visit Zil Castle (Zir Castle), dating back to the 14th century and situated in the middle of the valley, listen to its history, and then return to our hotel.

Tar Valley & Cloud Waterfall 

After breakfast, we set out towards Tar Valley, Turkey’s highest flowing valley located on the Kaçkar National Parks Ayder route. We walk along the river inside the valley. We ascend 2 km and descend 2 km. After an easy approximately 45-minute walk, we arrive at Cloud Waterfall. After the break we take here, we return by the same way. Our return will be a bit shorter. After returning to Çamlıhemşin, we proceed to lunch. After the meal, we start our second stage of the day: the Ortan Village - Makrevis Village walk.

Ortan Village - Makrevis Village Walk

Shortly after crossing the Çinçiva Bridge, we turn onto the road to Ortan Village, a roughly 10-minute drive. As soon as we enter Ortan Village, magnificent mansions greet us. We walk along the village accompanied by gardens and mansions throughout. After leaving Ortan, we make a short ascent through the forest and enter the Makrevis trail. After passing by the Hacaloğlu Mansion, we complete our approximately 1-hour walk and reach the end of the route where we meet our vehicle and continue on our way towards Rize Airport.  Around 18:00, we arrive at Rize Airport and say goodbye to you, looking forward to meeting again on another Bukla Tour.
